John Dinkins has lived in four houses--all of them in Jackson, Miss. He loves the city and especially the north side neighborhoods where he grew up, forging so many memories. In recent years, he's helped spearhead creating the LeFleur East Foundation, which has pulled together 21 neighborhoods and numerous commercial areas to revive and rebuild community bonds and enhance quality of life. John discusses the origins of LEF, some similar local models including Fondren Renaissance Foundation, and why strong historic Mississippi communities and neighborhoods matter.
